Cambridge

The language stay in Cambridge was very interesting and we had a lot of fun.
We went to the famous sights, to the different Colleges, to the museums, to the parks and a lot more. Some of us played the first time golf, went the first time punting and had the new experience to live at a host family. But everybody was confident.
Also we went in London to the Tower Bridge, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Madam Tussauds, Piccadilly Circus and the famous oxford street. And once we went to the musical "We will rock you". It was great.
All in one is Cambridge a very nice town to study and learning english. You can meet other students and go out with them. Maybe you can make some friends.
This 2 weeks were fantastic. The most important thing was that everybody had a lot of fun.
We enjoyed our stay, and maybe some of us would go again to such a nice language stay.

LSI - Language Studies International

Our school was the LSI. It is a very cool school and the people are very friendly. The most students there are from Asian and Spain. The school begins at 9 and finishes at 12.50. The teachers are funny and they can explain well. The lessons were funny and all the students were friendly. At the first day we had to make a test , so they could see in which level we should stay. Lirie and Manuela were together in a class and Nadine , Nadja and me were together in a other class. But Nadja swapped the class after some days. We learned a lot from the teachers and we can say that the school was good and the students friendly. At the end we got a certificate and we were happy.

Shopping in England

In the first week we had only time for shopping after school or when we finished our program. On Friday we had our free afternoon, we could go to the shopping centre near London with Matt. It is a very big shopping mall with many shops.

On Sunday when we went to London we could go shopping at the Camden Market. It was very fantastic because you can buy everything. The most of us bought a lot of things.
On Tuesday was our second chance to shop. We walked through the Oxford Street. It was great :)

On Thursday was our last chance to go shopping in Cambridge. All of us want to buy as much as they can for their money. This time in Cambridge was very great to go shopping.

The first week in Cambridge

On the first week, everything was special for us. We went to a family and we are living there. We are splited in schools. The food is new, the people have another culture, other rules but we managed that. In this week we had different activities to do. We went punting, playing golf, to different parks, shopping, watching a footballmatch and we were going to London.
In the school, first we had a test to see in which class we can study. The teachers in the schools are very funny.
The most families are very nice to us.
We were playing golf and Emanuel felt into a lake but he took it easy.
The week was interesting and very funny.

Saturday Aston Villa - West Ham United / Punting

On Saturday we had the choose to go to the football match between Aston Villa - West Ham United in the Villa Park , Birmingham or to go punting.

Football match : On Saturday was the Barclays Premier League football game between Aston Villa ( Team from Birmingham ) and West Ham United ( Team from London) . The Premier League is the best football leuge in the world , and sure , all the guys were excited to go to this football match with a attendance of 40 000 people. We met us at 11.00 at the swimming pool in Cambridge where Matt expected us . It taked 2 hour to reach there. When we were there Matt showed us the Villa Park and the official Shop , where Patrick and Tenzin bought a official dress from Aston Villa. Then 1 hour before the match we entered in the stadion to watch the players warm up and to see the stadium. Its a beautiful stadium with 42 000 seats and we all were impressed . At 15.00 was kickoff , and in the 6th minute the first goal were maked by emile heskey and it was a atmosphere like i never had seen before , 40 000 people screaming and celebrate the goal. But in the 85` Tristan shoot a goal for West Ham United and all the stadium was quite and sad. So the game finished 1:1. Then we left the stadium and went home to cambridge. And all the people who had seen a football game for the first time were happy.

Punting : We met Mrs. Schoenenberger at 11.30 at the Kings College , than we went to the subway and took it away to eat it in the park. Than she showed us the Emmanuels College Garden and after that we went punting. The punting were very excited and funny and we had a good time. Every group had a man on the boat who punted us . It took 1 hour to go around the river cam. It was very nice . After that Mrs. Schoenenberger invited us for a ice cream and then we had free time . The most of us went to the li0n Yard.

Wednesday - 4th day

On Wednesday morning we had to go to school like every morning. At school we only talk english! When school was finished we went to the city centre. At 14:30 we met at King's college. There we decided if we want to go to Granchester or playing golf.

Golf: In the golf-group we had a lot of fun. We went to the golf field where Matt showed us how to play golf. After training we tried to play but not every ball reached the aim.
Tea Garden: At Tea Garden in Granchester we drank something, ate a cake and relaxed. It was sunny weather on that day.

In the evening some of us were in a pub and some were at the party in their school. In the pub we watched the football match Manchester United vs. FC Porto.
